Oana’s Prints

In 3 words describe your pattern design style?
Eclectic, colorful, and textural.
I enjoy combining different themes, styles, and techniques in one pattern.

What is your work & design process?
I create my patterns by mixing traditional paintings and drawings with digital illustrations. I often start with a watercolor painting which I scan and edit digitally, or I start with digital elements to which I later add hand-painted textures. I also enjoy experimenting with traditional textile printing techniques, such as tie-dye, shibori, block-printing, or marbling art.

Where do you find your design inspiration?
I love traveling to discover ethnic and modern art from various cultures. Art museums, galleries, along fashion shows are my favorite inspiration sources.

What advice would you give to new designers?
Keep on creating what you love. Try anything and everything.

Camila Coelho

In 3 words describe your pattern design style?
Creative,Trendy & Experimental .

What is your work & design process?
My process can be divided in 3 ways. Directly with Clients through briefings when I need to develop exclusive patterns for collections. The other way is using mood boards with trends. Or by instinct I normally choose nature like theme and mixes with geometric forms or textures. When I start creating something,I use different types of hand drawn techniques. From Manual to digital like procreate and I always finish on photoshop to create layers and be on repeat.

Where do you find your design inspiration?
I can be versatile as a designer like you can see on my page. So I try to focus on trends. However I can be inspired by everything that surrounds me mostly nature. I get references on books, photos, exhibitions and travels.

What advice would you give to new designers?
Don’t give up. Practice always ,everyday. Try to experiment different ways to create patterns to develop your own style. Keep learning hand draw techniques, manual to digital.
